The Practice Area covered

We provide high quality veterinary care to horses, ponies and donkeys within a 30-mile radius of the practice, covering all of  Kent. The area we cover for first opinion equine work is illustrated on the map below. We will happily travel to areas further afield for second opinions, referral work or pre-purchase examinations.

Routine visit Appointments

Our ambulatory team visit clients for routine examinations and procedures in and around a 30-mile radius of the practice, as well as at the clinic. This ensures we provide good coverage of our chosen catchment area and consequently, a vet is never too far away should you need them in an emergency situation.

Discounted in Area Appointments

In-area visits are bookable for any type of examination when we are in your zone. These appointments are discounted at just £30 as they are flexible and fit around the vet who is in your area on that day. This means that specific times cannot be booked, and you cannot request a certain vet, however, other options are available should you need a specific time or team member.

Emergency Visits

We do not charge a surcharge for emergency visits requested within the normal working day (8.30-5pm Monday to Friday). An emergency surcharge will apply if veterinary examination or treatment is required outside normal hours. This charge will be applied to visits requested before 08.30am and after 17.00pm Monday to Friday, weekends and bank holidays.

Case Continuity

We realise how important it is for your vet to know you, your horse and his history, thereby assisting case continuity to provide the best patient care.  We actively encourage our clients to request the vet of their choice.  If that vet is unavailable, either away from the practice or fully booked, we will arrange for another experienced colleague to visit your horse.  In the event of a re-examination being performed by another vet, we make every effort to ensure both vets discuss your horse’s case, to aid continuity of care.

Arranging a Visit

If you know you need a visit, the next step is to contact us.  We offer free telephone advice to our clients, so if you’d prefer to speak to a vet prior to organising a visit, please contact us directly by phone or email. Alternatively, you can leave a message with our reception team and we will return your call as soon as we can.  If your call is urgent, please make the reception team aware of this.
